Issue Position: Federal Deficit

Issue Position

I propose to work with other lawmakers to develop a ten to fifteen year plan to decrease the federal deficit. There should be a fixed budgetary plan set by lawmakers that each new administration should not be able to change. If done this way, this will allow the federal deficit to be decreased over a period of time and certain programs gradually phased out. This would avoid immediate hardships on many individuals who are dependent upon federally subsidized plans. Thus, the citizens would be knowledgeable certains plans will be gradually de-funded over a period of years.
